POSITION SUMMARY:
To architect the shelf to achieve current and long term Nestle Infant Nutrition business objectives as defined by: share of shelf, market share, and shelf profitability
This position works closely with the Customer Category Managers and the internal resources of CDAM, Category Management, Shopper Insights, and Customer Development areas
The primary responsibilities of this position are to function as the customer resource for category management and consumer/shopper insights offering actionable category recommendations that achieve category/aisle business growth objectives.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Profitable Category/Aisle Growth Strategy
- Integrate Category Management Principles, Shopper Insights, and Retail Customer Marketing Strategies to achieve consistent sales growth and share targets.
- Transform the aisle to achieve a SHSH? Nutrition merchandising flow that offers a convenient shopper experience through nutritional information and way-finding.
Category Management Tactics
- Provides fact based category insights and shelf recommendations as the category captain to the Customer's Category Manager.
- Utilizes available technology and other resources to track, analyze and evaluate internal and external business trends and offers actionable insights to achieve profitable category/aisle business growth goals.
- Analyzes new item sales to track performance against objectives.
- Develops retail pricing and item assortment recommendations to achieve shelf profitability goals.
- Analyzes account specific POS or available syndicated data to achieve share of shelf, market share, merchandising flow, and promotional objectives.
- Executes item assortment optimization to achieve distribution and share of shelf goals.
- Evaluates POS, promotional calendar, factory and consumption trends, to support Category Development Account Manager in developing accurate sales forecast.
- Maintains a high level of industry, category, customer, consumer and nutritional science expertise.
- Support Company Programs and Policies, including affirmative action goals and commitments, HSE strategies and corporate citizenship initiatives. % OF TIME
