In this session, Troy Prothero will describe how Vendor Pulse, the supplier collaboration program initiated in 2008 and now involving more than 100 suppliers, are changing the way category management is performed at Food Lion. No longer only involving category captains in a cyclical approach, new data being shared with suppliers enables each participant in these programs to react faster and more effectively to the reality at the store. Mr. Prothero will share actual case studies by Food Lion suppliers, and share the long term vision for an improved retailer-supplier partnership.
